Tess Hochberger // Therapist

Embarking on your therapy journey is a brave step toward gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and creating the story that you want to be living.

Embarking on your therapy journey is a brave step toward gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and creating the story that you want to be living. This healing journey does not have to be scary and I will be here every step of that way to ensure you have the tools needed to gain self-confidence and guide you through the transitions toward building your future.

I utilize an integrative approach including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy and interpersonal psychotherapy techniques to dive into past and present patterns, while pulling deeply from social and cultural contexts. When exploring patterns to better navigate relationships, I work to guide clients to self-actualization through exploring stuck points, needs, desires and how we relate to others. I also draw on my experience as an artist, helping you to tap into your creativity as a pathway toward healing and self discovery. I strive to establish an open and safe healing space in which we can explore all aspects of your identity and how it interweaves with your current relationships.

I received my Bachelors in Social Work at Skidmore College and my Masters in clinical Social Work (MSW) at NYU Silver School of Social Work. I have extensive experience working in substance use and abuse, children and family therapy, art and music therapy, collective trauma, sexuality, gender identity, neurological divergence, and utilizing the healing power of mindfulness and meditation.
