Simone Humphrey // Co-director & Psychologist

Everyone deserves to know who they are to live a full and meaningful life.

Everyone deserves to know who they are to live a full and meaningful life. As your psychologist, I will help you understand how your past impacts your present, exploring deep emotions that serve to heal and empower your life moving forward. My approach is not just “talk therapy,” but also experiential, using the body and imagination as guides to change and transform. I have extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, issues with self-esteem, non-monogamy, and LGBTQ+ populations - both individuals and couples.

Additionally, I specialize in couples counseling with training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Perhaps you feel stuck and unhappy in your relationship or want to maximize its potential. I help couples identify their negative patterns, unearth underlying triggers and wounds, and examine expectations. Our goal is to work together so you and your partner can create a deeper, more connected, and satisfying relationship.

My doctorate (PsyD) is in Clinical Psychology from Rutgers University and I have held clinical positions at Columbia University Medical Center, VA hospitals, and at the Counseling Center at Rutgers University. I am a therapist and co-founder at Modern Mind and co-host LOVELINK, a podcast and platform for relationship and sex education. I have been interviewed as a therapist on the Today Show, presented workshops at the Psychotherapy Networker Conference, and serve as a contributing writer for MindBodyGreen, the Psychotherapy Networker Magazine, and Thrive Global.
